It’s so great to be appreciated. Eye tests
It’s amazing how many people still think that an eye examination is simply to check whether you need vision correction. It’s much more than that. At the I-Site our Optometrists conduct a very thorough examination of your eyes to check your general health. Symptoms leading to diagnosis of diseases such as Glaucoma, which can lead to blindness, diatbetes, cataracts, macular degeneration, among others, are often traced during an eye examination. I read in the Optical press often that irregularities seen in an eye examination have led to diagnosis of a brain tumor. The earlier a problem is identified the more likely it is to be able to be treated. Like going to the dentist on a regular basis, you should also visit your Optician regularly. Eye examinations for healthy adults are recommended at least every 2 years and more frequently for kids or if there is a history of such diseases in the family.
